On Big Pasture's side, LANE TINSLEY was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (he also only allowed one walk). TINSLEY was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with a home run, two runs, and two RBI.
TINSLEY wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was HAGAN HARRIS, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.
Even though they lost, Big Pasture didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and finished the game with nine strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Apache only tossed four.
Apache's victory bumped their record up to 13-1. As for Big Pasture, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-5.
Apache will play host again on Thursday to welcome Eisenhower, where first pitch is scheduled at 5:00 p.m. Apache is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 10.9 runs per game this season. As for Big Pasture, they will head out on the road to square off against Grandfield at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
