The Weatherford Christian Lions won the last time they faced the Temple Christian Eagles, and things went their way on Friday too. Weatherford Christian strolled past Temple Christian with points to spare, taking the game 51-37.
Despite the loss, Temple Christian still got an impressive performance from Jj Limones, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. Limones is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Luke Cisneros was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with six steals and five rebounds.
Weatherford Christian's win bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Temple Christian, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Trinity the next time they take the court. Temple Christian will host Trinity at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Weatherford Christian will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
