The win bumped St. Thomas Aquinas' record up to 3-2. Independence are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-6.
St. Thomas Aquinas will be playing at home against St. Helena College and Career Academy at at 7:00 PM next week. Both of those teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous games. As for Independence, they will face off against Charles City. Given that they both suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
