The Vacaville Bulldogs entered their tilt with the Wood Wildcats with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Vacaville claimed a resounding 40-13 victory over Wood on the road. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 21-0.
Brody Fortunati looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 232 yards and two touchdowns on only 16 passes, while also punching in a touchdown on the ground. Vacaville also got a significant boost from Morgan De lago, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 82 yards.
Vacaville's win was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 6-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 33.3 points per game. As for Wood, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Vacaville will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Elk Grove at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. Elk Grove is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Wood, they will head out on the road to face off against West Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. West Park presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Wood in California (West Park is ranked 181st, while Wood is ranked 413th).
