After flying high against the West End Patriots last Tuesday, the Southeastern Mustangs came back down to earth. Southeastern's rough 59-35 loss to the Hornets on Friday might stick with them for a while. Southeastern was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-11.
Faith Evans continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Locust Fork, almost dropping a double-double on 20 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Adams, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds.
Southeastern's loss dropped their record down to 12-14. As for Locust Fork, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 17 games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season.
Southeastern does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Locust Fork will head out on the road to square off against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
