Whitehorse got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kayla Mitchell out in front who scored 16 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mitchell has scored all season. Heidi Clark was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
San Juan suffered their biggest loss since November 28, 2023 on Friday. They were beaten by North Summit 66-32. While losing is never fun, San Juan can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 109th, while North Summit is ranked ninth).
Whitehorse has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for San Juan, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.
