Coudersport hit Johnsonburg with a ten-run fifth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Rams came up short against the Falcons, falling 12-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Rams have suffered against the Falcons since April 1, 2016.
Johnsonburg saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Josh Amacher, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base. Rocco Delhunty was another, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI.
Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Clarion Area ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They won by a run and slipped past Moniteau 6-5. The Bobcats haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.
Ethan Rex was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. Rex was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Billy Kahle, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Johnsonburg's defeat dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Clarion Area, their win bumped their record up to 10-5.
