The CORE Butte Lynx's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They were beaten by Biggs 84-43. CORE Butte has struggled against Biggs recently, as their match on Friday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Biggs' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brady Smith, who scored 23 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Smith has scored all season. David Ibarra was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with two steals.
CORE Butte's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Biggs, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. CORE Butte will take on Los Molinos at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Biggs, they will head out on the road to face off against Faith Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
