The Schalick Cougars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 59-36 walloping at the hands of Penns Grove. Schalick has not had much luck with Penns Grove recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
It was another big night for Giomar Conrad, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and two steals for Penns Grove. Conrad has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ka'Ron Ceaser, who scored 11 points along with two steals.
Schalick has not been sharp recently as the team has lost eight of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season. As for Penns Grove, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-12.
Schalick will head out on the road to face off against Williamstown at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Schalick is facing Williamstown at the right time seeing as Williamstown is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. Penns Grove does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
