The Patrick Henry Rebels can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent contest on Thursday. They breezed by Northwood at home to the tune of 77-36. The victory was nothing new for Patrick Henry as they're now sitting on three straight.
Patrick Henry's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cole Caywood, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds. Caywood has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times he's played. Cade Caywood was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with six assists and two steals.
Patrick Henry's win bumped their record up to 12-3. As for Northwood, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-10.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Patrick Henry will challenge Council at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Council will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings (they are ranked 443rd, while Patrick Henry is ranked 210th). As for Northwood, they will head out on the road to challenge Chilhowie at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
