The Judge Memorial Catholic Bulldogs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They blew past Providence Hall 81-40 on the road. Perhaps unsurprisinly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.
JJ Apathjang continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 38 points and 13 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaydan Saucedo, who scored 11 points along with six assists and six rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why Providence Hall lost, one person who can't be blamed is Ty Warnick. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. Connor Ballard was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Providence Hall struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Judge Memorial Catholic racked up 18 assists.
The win (which was Judge Memorial Catholic's fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-12. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.8 points per game. As for Providence Hall, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-14.
Judge Memorial Catholic will head out on the road to face off against American Heritage at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Judge Memorial Catholic has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 498 points over their last seven matches. As for Providence Hall, they will be playing at home against Summit Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Utah (Providence Hall is ranked 110th, while Summit Academy is ranked 97th).
