The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Mile High Academy in their matchups with Denver Academy of Torah: they've now lost four in a row.
Despite the loss, Mile High Academy got a solid performance out of Josh Makizimana, who scored nine points along with six rebounds.
Even though they lost, Mile High Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
In what's become a running theme this season, Denver Jewish Day gave their fans yet another huge victory on Wednesday. They blew past Denver Waldorf 73-48. The score was close at the half, but Denver Jewish Day pulled away in the second half with 49 points.
Mile High Academy has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season. As for Denver Jewish Day, their victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1.
Mile High Academy was taken down by Denver Jewish Day 92-20 in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. The match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Mile High Academy was down 48-6.
