The Washington-Wilkes Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 70-49 walloping at the hands of Harlem. Washington-Wilkes has not had much luck with Harlem recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Bj Reese was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds for Harlem. The match was Reese's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Lemar Edmond was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with 8 rebounds and 5 assists.
Washington-Wilkes' defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Harlem, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.
Washington-Wilkes is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Taliaferro County at 6:00 p.m. on December 12th. Taliaferro County has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 11. As for Harlem, they will be playing at home against Lincoln County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.
