Carter Dean turned in yet another pitching appearance with fewer than three walks surrendered on Thursday. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 12 over seven innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Rio Americano is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-7 otherwise.

Dean's strong effort led Rio Americano over Ponderosa and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
