Covenant Academy is 8-2 against Central Fellowship Christian Academy since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Covenant Academy Rams will face off against the Central Fellowship Christian Academy Lancers at 4:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Monday, Covenant Academy didn't have quite enough to beat Crisp Academy and fell 7-6.

William Wilson was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Joseph Christy also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, Central Fellowship Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Gatewood, falling 17-5. One positive for the Lancers, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Carter Welch made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. George Bassett was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Covenant Academy's defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-5. As for Central Fellowship Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-10.

Covenant Academy's speedy runners might be the difference in Thursday's match. Covenant Academy has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.9 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Central Fellowship Christian Academy, though, as they've been averaging only 1 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Covenant Academy continue to outrun the ball?

Covenant Academy suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Central Fellowship Christian Academy in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Can Covenant Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
