The Paradise Honors Panthers struggled with assists on Friday (the Moon Valley Rockets had ten more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Paradise Honors took a hard 68-53 fall against Moon Valley. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Paradise Honors of the 61-46 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2023.
Despite the defeat, Paradise Honors saw an underclassman step up: Tj Harris scored 24 points along with five assists and two steals. Harris is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last 18 games he's played. Antwan Gilkey was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with four steals.
Moon Valley can attribute much of their success to Maurice Brown, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds. That's the first time this season that Brown scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Damion Miller-Coleman, who scored 11 points along with five assists and three steals.
Paradise Honors' defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Moon Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-9 record this season.
Paradise Honors will be playing in front of their home fans against Yuma at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Yuma is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Moon Valley, they will head out on the road to face off against Greenway at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
