Softball Recap: Wednesday's Win Is Bravo's Sixth in Last Seven Outings

Bravo won the last time they faced Wilson and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Knights were the clear victors by a 16-4 margin over the Mules. Considering the Knights have won six contests by more than nine runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Alany Mendoza, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Jocelyn Cordova, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Bravo kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits every time they've taken the field this season.

Bravo is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. As for Wilson, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Bravo is set to face off against their familiar foe Marshall at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Wilson will challenge rival Eagle Rock at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
