The Gainesville Bulldogs waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins but they left with three. They walked away with a 76-66 victory over Norwood. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Norwood lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Peyton McDaris, who scored 19 points along with six assists. McDaris hasn't dropped below 17 points for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Noah Drake, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Gainesville has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for Norwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-7.
Gainesville will head out on the road to square off against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fordland will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings (they are ranked 420th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 133rd). As for Norwood, they will be playing at home against the Tigers at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
