Matthew Nevarez Turns in Season-Best Performance
Matthew Nevarez produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Nampa Christian to the win on Friday. Nevarez rushed for 142 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. Nampa Christian is 2-1 when Nevarez posts two or more rushing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise.
Unfortunately for Parma, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Nevarez. When Nevarez last faced the Panthers back in September of 2023, he rushed for 119 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries, and also picked up 60 receiving yards and a touchdown.
