The Wooster Colts will challenge the Elko Indians at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Wooster is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8 runs per game this season.
Wooster is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They blew past Spring Creek 13-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Colts.

Edgar Nunez Montano made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 11 over 5.2 innings pitched. Those 11 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles.
In other batting news, Cayden Corl was a standout: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run and two RBI. Owyn Ward was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
Wooster kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Elko posted their closest win since April 18th on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Spring Creek 5-4. The Indians haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Travis Monett spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Scotty Sellers was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Coy Jones, who went 1-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Wooster's record is now 23-8. As for Elko, their record now sits at 27-6.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Wooster has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.3 hits per game. However, it's not like Elko struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.9 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Wooster might still be hurting after the 14-2 loss they got from Elko in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Colts avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
