St. Francis Prep extended the longest winning streak in Catholic AA-A this week by beating Bishop Ford, 35-14. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.
Xavier took down Cardinal Spellman 43-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
6-foot-1 quarterback BILLY TRIGLIANOS of St. Peter's is the league leader in passing yards this season with 886. He has also thrown seven touchdowns. On the ground, the Falcons' Dante Aiken has rushed for 650 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Rodney Gonzales. The Bishop Ford star has 14 catches for 352 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when St. John the Baptist takes on Bishop Ford. As it stands, the Cougars are in first, while Jim Esposito's team is in fifth.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when St. John the Baptist takes on the Falcons. Keith Schweers' team has allowed 92 points this season, while Bishop Ford has given up 98. The Cougars allowed 12 points last week as they topped Cardinal Hayes.
The Knights led Catholic AA-A in scoring this week after putting up 43 points on the The Pilots.
