The Calhoun Tigers's found some homefield redemption this week after a tough overtime loss to the Marion Rams on Friday. Calhoun walked away with a 65-56 win over the Tigers. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Calhoun's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kentavius Loftin led the charge by scoring 13 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Loftin has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ladarrius Thigpen, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Calhoun has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. As for Greenville, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-23.
