Village Academy was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fourth to second in 2A District 7. Village Academy beat Coral Springs Christian 54-12 earlier in the week.
Donald Hanna's team took down the Crusaders 54-12 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Highlands Christian's Trystan Lago and Kyle Audet have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Lago has thrown for 1032 yards this season, while Audet, a 6-foot-2 receiver, has 17 catches for 360 yards. Kelvin Taylor from Glades Day leads the league in rushing with 884 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Gators take on Summit Christian. At the moment, Glades Day is in first, while the Saints are in fifth.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Pete Walker's team takes on Summit Christian. The Gators have allowed 106 points this season, while Ted Knapp's team has given up 134.
Village Academy led 2A District 7 in scoring this week after putting up 54 points on Coral Springs Christian.
