The Florence Eagles will square off against the Puckett Wolves at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
Florence is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 12 runs on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Brandon on Thursday. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs.
Florence saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaid Jackson, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
Meanwhile, Puckett strolled into their game on Tuesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They blew past Raleigh 18-5. The Wolves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by seven runs or more this season.
Raegan Hardin was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched six innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. Hardin was even better at the plate, going 3-for-5 with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 2.1 runs per game.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brooke Shivers, who went 3-for-5 with four RBI and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2025. Kendall Brown was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run and one double.
Puckett always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .550. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Raleigh only posted an OBP of .360.
Florence has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Puckett, their win bumped their record up to 11-0.
Florence might still be hurting after the 12-2 defeat they got from Puckett in their previous matchup back in February. Will the Eagles have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other softball content.
