Port Gibson is 9-1 against Wilkinson County since January of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success  on Tuesday. The Port Gibson Blue Waves will head out on the road to face off against the Wilkinson County Wildcats at 5:00  a.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Port Gibson has three straight  victories, Wilkinson County has five straight  defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
 Even though Port Gibson has not done well against Raymond recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way  on Saturday. Port Gibson came out on top in a nail-biter against Raymond  and snuck past  45-42.
 Port Gibson's win  was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from   Ger'Kiya  Flowers, who  scored 18 points. The  contest was  Flowers' seventh in a row with at least ten points.  Kennaja  Goods was another key contributor,  scoring eight points.
 Meanwhile, Wilkinson County took a serious blow against South Pike on Tuesday, falling  62-22. While losing is never fun, Wilkinson County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings  (they are ranked 279th, while South Pike is ranked 125th).
 Port Gibson's victory bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Wilkinson County, their defeat was  their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which  bumped their record down to 1-9.
 Port Gibson took their  win against Wilkinson County  in their previous matchup  back in February by a conclusive  59-34. Will Port Gibson repeat their success,  or does  Wilkinson County have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
