Galvan-Veliz is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last five games she's played. Sydney Lamar was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds.
Pamlico County bumped their record down to 6-10 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for East Carteret, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pamlico County will take on Jones at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Jones is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. As for East Carteret, they will head out on the road to take on Southside at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Southside will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 345th, while East Carteret is ranked 100th).
