Ginyard Posts Huge Game in 40-15 Victory
Starting off the list is Eastern's Daquan Ginyard, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Ginyard rushed for 217 yards. His rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 145 rushing yards.
Eastern is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. Ginyard's next matchup is against Woodson on Friday, where he'll look to repeat that solid performance.

Smith Made His Presence Known in Roosevelt's 35-0 Win
Deyon Smith was a major factor in Roosevelt's victory over Jackson-Reed on Saturday. Smith was unstoppable, rushing for 51 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries, while also picking up 35 receiving yards.
Jackson-Reed had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Smith it was a similar story. Smith rushed for 145 yards the last time he and the Tigers duked it out back in October of 2023.

Underclassman Aleem Moore Comes Up Big Against Woodson
While it always takes a team to win, one person punching above their weight class on Saturday was Aleem Moore. He was unstoppable, throwing for 178 yards and three touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes.
Coolidge's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-5. Moore and Coolidge will play host again on Friday to welcome Jackson-Reed, where kickoff is scheduled at 6:00 p.m.

Jamal Gilmore Delivers Best Effort of Season
Roosevelt was led to victory by Jamal Gilmore, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Saturday. Gilmore picked up 106 receiving yards and a touchdown.
For the season, Gilmore has caught 4 touchdowns while averaging 57.3 receiving yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after six games last season, he was only averaging 4.67 receiving yards per game.
