The San Juan Broncos's six-game losing streak came to an end on Saturday. They walked away with a 48-36 victory over Gunnison Valley. That result was just more of the same for these two, as San Juan also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
San Juan can attribute much of their success to Synessa Atcitty, who scored 23 points. Macee Palmer was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Linsi Hansen, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Autumn Anderson, who scored seven points along with 12 rebounds and two steals.
San Juan's victory bumped their record up to 3-9. As for Gunnison Valley, they bumped their record down to 3-10 with that defeat, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.
San Juan and North Summit will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. North Summit has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Gunnison Valley, Gunnison Valley and North Sevier will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
