Burnet barely beat Jarrell the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bulldogs were the clear victors by a 12-3 margin over the Cougars on Friday. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by six runs or more this season.

Burnet pushed their record up to 12-7 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Jarrell, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-17 record this season.

Burnet will welcome Leander at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Jarrell, they will challenge Gateway College Preparatory at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cougars are facing the Gators at the right time seeing as the Gators are stuck on an 11-game losing streak.
