The Anderson Raptors will be playing at home against the Milford Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Anderson's favor as the team sits on 12 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while the Eagles have been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
In what's become a running theme this season, Anderson gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 58-38 margin over Loveland.
Cassius Black continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 22 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Caden Piening, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, even though Lebanon scored an imposing 56 points on Tuesday, Milford still came out on top. Milford took down the Warriors 73-56.
Milford got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Gavin Dalen out in front who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 16 rebounds. Dalen is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last five games he's played. Michael Kirk was another key contributor, going 7 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 23 points and 1 assist.
Anderson is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Milford, their victory bumped their record up to 8-10.
Friday's match is shaping up to be a masterclass in shooting: Anderson have been dynamite from deep this season, having made 47.7% of their threes per game. However, it's not like Milford struggles in that department as they've made 42.1% of their threes this season. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Anderson didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against the Eagles in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 57-52 victory. Will Anderson repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
