Taylor's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Treos Richardson, who scored 21 points along with 7 rebounds and 5 assists. The match was Richardson's third in a row with at least ten points. TJ Whybrew was another key contributor, scoring 22 points.
Even though they lost, Taylor were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Chaparral only pulled down 17.
Chaparral's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Alphonzo Houser, who scored 20 points along with 3 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Smith, who scored 20 points along with 3 steals.
Taylor's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Chaparral, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.
Taylor will be playing at home against Gateway College Preparatory at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Chaparral's road trip will continue as they head out to face Manor New Tech at 3:00 p.m. on December 7th.
