Fort Chiswell has been struggling as of late, and they have yet to win a game this season. They lost 8-0 to the Auburn Eagles on Monday. While losing is never fun, Fort Chiswell can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 322nd, while Auburn are ranked 118th).

Fort Chiswell's loss dropped their record down to 0-7-3. As for Auburn, they pushed their record up to 9-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fort Chiswell will head out to square off against Giles at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Giles will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Fort Chiswell surely won't give up without a fight. As for Auburn, they will venture away from home to face off against Bath County at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Auburn will be up against Bath County's rather soft defense (which has allowed three goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
