Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Veterans Memorial to victory, but perhaps none more so than Gervai Maeweathers, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds. Demarion Dennis was another key contributor, scoring 18 points.
Veterans Memorial pushed their record up to 27-1 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.8 points per game. As for Canyon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-19.
