The Harleton Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They were the victim of a tough 62-38 loss at the hands of Laneville.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Laneville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Matthew Johnson, who scored 19 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamorian Williams, who scored 15 points along with nine rebounds.
Harleton has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for Laneville, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-12.
Harleton is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Linden-Kildare at 7:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024. Linden-Kildare comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 18 points in their last four games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. Laneville and Winona will round out the year against one another at 2:30 p.m. on Friday at.
