Having just played yesterday, the Warren Bears will jump right back in to play the Carson Colts at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. King Johnson had another great game (as he tends to do), almost dropping a double-double with 26 points and nine rebounds. What's more, he posted four steals, the most he's had since back in December of 2024. Kenneth Martinez was another key player, putting up 14 points along with six boards and three steals.
Warren was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They are 12-3 when they've passed the ball that well.
Meanwhile, Carson was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 50-45 to Narbonne. While losing is never fun, the Colts can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 931st, while the Gauchos are ranked 383rd).
Carson's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Warren, their victory bumped their record up to 14-6.
