Mississippi School for the Deaf was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-13.
Despite the defeat, Mississippi School for the Deaf saw an underclassman step up: Rogelio Rodriguez scored 10 points. Damarion English was another key contributor, scoring 5 points.
Mississippi School for the Deaf bumped their record down to 1-7 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Piney Woods, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

As for Piney Woods, they will head out on the road to face off against Northeast Lauderdale at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
