Gila Ridge has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 509 points over their last eight contests.
Gila Ridge posted their biggest victory yet this season two weeks ago. They were the clear victor by a 73-49 margin over San Luis. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Gila Ridge has posted against San Luis since January 7, 2020.
Gila Ridge's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Easton Sheppeard led the charge by scoring 22 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Sheppeard is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last three games he's played. Isaac Zaragoza was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, North Canyon had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 44.8 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They blew past Metro Tech 75-32 on the road. North Canyon has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 31 points or more this season.
Gila Ridge is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 6-14 record this season. As for North Canyon, their victory bumped their record up to 11-7.
