The Bagdad Sultans suffered their biggest loss since December 4, 2023 on Thursday. They took a serious blow against San Pasqual Valley, falling 45-15. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Bagdad has suffered against San Pasqual Valley since December 13, 2018.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead San Pasqual Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Trisha Castillo, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Castillo has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Daeja Villicana, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Bagdad's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for San Pasqual Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-9 record this season.
Bagdad will head out on the road to take on Salome at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for San Pasqual Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Antelope at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
