Twentynine Palms unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 36-12 to the Desert Christian Academy Conquerors on Friday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it six in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Desert Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cashton Scott, who rushed for 152 yards and one touchdown, and also picked up 42 receiving yards. Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Twentynine Palms will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while.
