Sacred Heart has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Weaubleau Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sacred Heart comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 22 points in their last five games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 61-15, which was the final score in Sacred Heart's tilt against Leeton on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Sacred Heart can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 505th, while Leeton is ranked 189th).
Despite the defeat, Sacred Heart saw an underclassman step up: Paisley Carl scored six points.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Weaubleau's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 62-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Spokane.
Sacred Heart's loss was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-9. As for Weaubleau, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-2.
