Gorton hadn't done well against Sleepy Hollow recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Gorton Wolves walked away with a 47-40 victory over the Sleepy Hollow Horsemen. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wolves.

Sleepy Hollow lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Natalia Hargrave, who posted ten points. Cassie Junge was another key player, putting up eight points.

The win got Gorton back to even at 2-2. As for Sleepy Hollow, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-11 record this season.

Gorton won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Riverside at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing is sure in Gorton's favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Riverside has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road. As for Sleepy Hollow, they will square off against Yorktown at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
