The Vista Ridge Rangers will head out on the road to face off against the Dripping Springs Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Vista Ridge is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
Last Friday, Vista Ridge slipped by Round Rock 21-20. The victory was just what Vista Ridge needed coming off of a 45-0 loss in their prior game.
Vista Ridge can attribute much of their success to Grant Anderson, who rushed for 92 yards, and also threw for 87 yards and a touchdown.
Another reason for the win was Vista Ridge's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Kaden Dees.
Meanwhile, Dripping Springs can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They claimed a resounding 52-17 win over Anderson at home. Winning may never get old, but Dripping Springs sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Dripping Springs can attribute much of their success to Maddox Maher, who threw for 101 yards and four touchdowns, and Jack Robert tyndall, who gained 156 total yards and two touchdowns. Robert tyndall hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for eight straight games.
Their wins bumped Vista Ridge to 7-3 and Dripping Springs to 8-2.
Vista Ridge suffered a grim 47-21 defeat to Dripping Springs in their previous matchup back in September of 2017. Thankfully for Vista Ridge, Trevor Greenman (who rushed for 138 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.6 yards per carry, and also threw for 174 yards and three touchdowns while completing 76.9% of his passes) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
