Volleyball Recap: Southern Wells Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Kaylee Davis and Sydney Alstoft

Southern Wells lost against Winchester Community back in September of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Raiders took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Golden Falcons. The Raiders' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Southern Wells' loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Sydney Alstoft, who had 13 assists and two aces, and Kaylee Davis, who had nine digs and one assist.

Southern Wells' defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Winchester Community, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southern Wells will head out to square off against Norwell at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Winchester Community, they will venture away from home to face off against Union City at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
