Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Somerset Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They never let American get on the board and left with a 7-0 win on Wednesday.
Not much got past Caitlyn Diaz, who gave up just five hits and racked up 12 Ks to keep American off the board. Diaz has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

Munoz went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, one triple, and one double, while Bailey went 3-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. Bailey is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played. Kelsey Gonzalez was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three runs and one stolen base.
Somerset Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are 4-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

It's a different story for Somerset Academy, though, as they've been averaging only 1.2 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will American Heritage continue to outrun the ball?
American Heritage skirted past Somerset Academy 6-5 in their previous matchup back in April. Will the Patriots repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
