Denver East hasn't had much luck against Eaglecrest recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Angels will take on the Raptors at 11:00 a.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Denver East is headed out to face Eaglecrest after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. Everything went the Angels' way against Skyline on Thursday as they made off with a 7-1 win. The victory was nothing new for the Angels as they're now sitting on six straight dating back to last season.

Titus Dokes made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 14 over six innings pitched. Those 14 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Denver East let Evan L'Herault and Jack Lohmeyer run wild. L'Herault went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double, while Lohmeyer went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and one double.
Denver East kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in five consecutive games dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, Eaglecrest had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with an 8-4 win over Prairie View.
Like Denver East, Eaglecrest also got a great game from a two-way player: Brian Moreland. On the mound, Moreland struck out six batters over 4.1 innings while giving up four earned runs off three hits. Meanwhile, Landen Holmes tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. At the plate, Moreland went 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple, while Holmes went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles.
In other batting news, Caiden Van Damme was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one triple and one RBI. Blake Anderson was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double.
Denver East couldn't quite get it done against Eaglecrest in their previous matchup back in April of 2025 as they fell 7-3. Can the Angels avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
