Alta is 0-5 against Olympus since December of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Alta Hawks will head out on the road to take on the Olympus Titans at 7:00 p.m. Alta will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
Alta can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They blew past West 60-40. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Alta has posted since December 5, 2023.
Fuifuilupe Niumeitolu continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 27 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Alta's points. Another player making a difference was Quincy Kegel, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, even though Brighton scored an imposing 57 points on Friday, Olympus still came out on top. Olympus managed a 61-57 win over Brighton.
Olympus relied on the efforts of Joss Baker, who scored 19 points along with nine rebounds and three steals, and Keily Trabanino, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Baker has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last seven times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Tatum Harrison, who scored ten points.
Alta pushed their record up to 12-2 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.7 points per game. As for Olympus, their victory bumped their record up to 6-7.
Alta was taken down by Olympus 73-38 in their previous meeting back in December of 2022. Thankfully for Alta, Abby Topham (who scored 20 points along with five rebounds and two blocks) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
