Kingman barely beat Odyssey Institute the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bulldogs put the hurt on the Minotaur with a sharp  8-1 victory on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won nine matchups by six  runs or more  so far this season.
 Codey Padilla spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up 12 Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't  tossed less than seven  strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
 At the plate,  Canton Collins was  excellent,  going 2-for-4 with two  runs, two  RBI,  and one  double. The team also got some help courtesy of  Cash Collins, who  got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with one  run.
Kingman is  on a roll lately: they've  won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record  this season. The  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 11.6 runs over those games. As for Odyssey Institute,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 6-9-1.
 We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Kingman will  face off against  rival Highland Prep  at 3:45  p.m.  on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Odyssey Institute is set to  challenge  their familiar foe Parker  at 3:45  p.m.  on Wednesday.
