Ayda Payne posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Tuesday. She struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and five unearned) runs off six hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.
