Everything went their way against Grandview Prep as Trinity Christian Academy made off with a 57-35 victory. Trinity Christian Academy's offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last four games.
Trinity Christian Academy found their leader in underclassman Elsheema Saintyl, who scored 22 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Saintyl has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaelyn Garcon, who scored five points along with 11 rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Glades Day had to endure a nine-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They secured a 30-25 W over Sheridan Hills Christian on Friday. That five point margin sets a new team best for Glades Day this season.
Trinity Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 5-13. As for Glades Day, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-8.
Trinity Christian Academy was taken down by the Gators 62-26 in their previous meeting back in January of 2023. Can Trinity Christian Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
