After six games on the road, Eleanor McMain is heading back home. They will take on the De La Salle Cavalier at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
Last Saturday, Eleanor McMain came up short against the Raiders and fell 57-47. While losing is never fun, Eleanor McMain can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 93rd, while the Raiders are ranked 30th).
Meanwhile, even though Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy scored an imposing 55 points on Tuesday, De La Salle still came out on top. De La Salle sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 57-55 win over the Swamp Owls. The victory made it back-to-back wins for De La Salle.
Eleanor McMain has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-14 record this season. As for De La Salle, their victory bumped their record up to 12-14.
Eleanor McMain was able to grind out a solid victory over the Cavalier in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, winning 56-49. Will Eleanor McMain repeat their success, or do the Cavalier have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
